Leah’s God Story.

God gave me a word back in 2020 that the celebration was going to start on my birthday. And at the time, I was dead broke. The plandemic caused my business to go under completely - and to top it off, my car broke down too. Life was hard enough as God told me to leave New York City in 2019, where I walked away from a ministry I built and regular paying clients. I then relocated to Tennessee to live with a family friend - and months later, the pandemic hit. God knew!

Over the next four years, I went through my own personal hell. I literally learned what it meant to live on bread alone. And if it weren’t for friends & family, I would have been homeless. Yet during that time, God stripped away every bit of flesh/sin I had - and in doing so, I became the fierce warrior I am today.

But one amazing thing that came out of that horrible season was that God revealed what my calling was: to do the news. I remember crying on the bathroom floor after a friend sent me $100 and I heard God say, “you want to do the news”. I have always been a gifted writer and speaker, but never let myself think about being a journalist - because I knew it was such a hard industry to get into. But when God spoke that to me, I felt so loved and known.

Fast forward to my 40th birthday on December 2, 2023 - and I was hoping that was going to be the birthday that God mentioned in 2020. Well, I was right. A week after my birthday, I reconnected with an old friend (my now co-host), Chris, who ended up offering me the show. (Which btw, was a God idea I got back in 2022!) Not only that, but God told me to start a non-woke ad agency and introduced me to CanaGlobal, a faith-based venture capital firm, who asked me to help run their startup incubator.

Now we are a month into our show and I am still living by faith to pay the bills as these endeavors have yet to bring in the finances. But somehow - someway - God keeps providing. Even if at the very last second. (Like the 30th day after your bill is due and God swoops within hours of them reporting you to the credit bureau. Not speaking from experience or anything.)

With that, I look forward to editing this bio with the “after” part of this story. Stay tuned! (To mention, pray that God sends me a new computer. This one is on its last leg!)
